Answers to common questions about EUS.
The Engineering Undergraduate Society is the official student government for undergraduate engineering at the University of New Brunswick. We represent over 1,500 engineering students across all disciplines.
You are automatically a member if you are enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program at UNB. No signup required — membership comes with your enrollment.
EUS runs events like the Welcome Back BBQ and Engineering Gala, advocates for student interests at the faculty level, provides academic and wellness resources, and supports engineering clubs and design teams.

Director applications open each semester. Check the Get Involved page for current openings, descriptions of each role, and the link to the application form.
Executive elections are held annually each March. Nominations typically open 2–3 weeks before election day. Watch for announcements on our Instagram @unbeus and on this website.
EUS is the overarching student government for all engineering undergraduates. Subsocieties are discipline-specific clubs (e.g. CSCE for Civil, SSME for Mechanical) that operate under the EUS umbrella.
Use the Lounge Booking Form linked on the Resources page. Bookings are subject to availability and EUS approval. The lounge is located in Head Hall.
Use the Grill Booking Form on the Resources page. Please submit your request at least 48 hours in advance. The grill is available for student groups and engineering events.
Engineering paper is available at the EUS office in Head Hall, Room GWC123, during office hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
The EUS office in Head Hall, Room GWC123 is open Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM during the academic year. Hours may vary during exam periods and holidays.
Fill out the EUS Lounge Access form on the Resources page. Access is granted to engineering students in good standing. Bring your student ID when visiting.

If you are in first year, junior director positions are announced in November for the school year. Otherwise, EUS elections for executive positions take place in March for the following school year, and applications for director positions open shortly thereafter. Keep an eye on your email and our socials (@unbeus on Instagram and UNB Engineering Undergraduate Society on Facebook) for announcements!
