EUS Events
The signature events that define engineering life at UNB.

The highlight of the engineering calendar
ENGG Week is the signature week of the EUS calendar. We kick off with a skate night, then head to Crabbe Mountain for ski night with transportation and ski fees covered. The week culminates at the annual Engineering Gala — an elegant evening of food, recognition, and memories that last a lifetime.

Engineering ingenuity meets friendly competition
The EUS Coaster Derby is one of the most beloved annual competitions. Teams of engineering students design and build unpowered coasters that race down a track in Head Hall. A showcase of creativity, engineering skill, and school spirit — all in one afternoon.

For charity, for fun, for pie
On March 14th, students bid to pie professors in the face with whipped cream. The highest bidder gets to pie the professor of their choice. Enjoy delicious pies while watching professors get creamed — all proceeds go to a charity selected by the EUS.
Celebrating the engineering code of ethics
The Iron Pin Ceremony acknowledges the engineering code of ethics and celebrates each student's obligation to uphold honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. Each student receives an Iron Pin as a lifelong reminder of these values. A guest speaker shares their journey and what ethical engineering means in practice.

How every year starts right
The Welcome Back BBQ kicks off every academic year with free food, great company, and the entire engineering community together. Whether you are a returning student or a first-year finding your feet — this is the event that makes UNB Engineering feel like home.
Because exams are stressful enough
Right before exam period, the EUS organizes a week of stress-relief events for engineering students. Therapy dogs, crafts, free food in the office, workshops on study tools and workload management — whatever helps. Have an idea? We would love to hear it.

Inspiring the next generation of engineers
EUS invites high school students from across the region to spend a day at Head Hall and discover engineering at UNB. EUS members volunteer to guide students through the faculty, answer questions, and share what engineering life is really like.
Your first step into engineering at UNB
EUS Orientation welcomes every new engineering student to the community. Meet your fellow engineers, explore clubs and design teams, learn what EUS does for you, and get a feel for the culture you are now part of. The best way to start your engineering journey at UNB.
Making the move to Fredericton seamless
Transition Day is designed specifically for Saint John engineering students transferring to UNB Fredericton. Meet your new academic advisor, faculty, professors, and fellow students. Get a tour of Head Hall, hear from the co-op office, and learn about the TME diploma — all in one day.
