External Relations
The EUS connects UNB engineering students with regional and national organizations, coordinates opportunities to attend conferences and competitions, and represents our students beyond campus. These experiences help delegates build leadership skills, grow professional networks, exchange traditions, and bring new ideas back to our community.

Atlantic opportunities
A fall gathering where ACES members exchange ideas and help set the organization’s direction. Delegates take part in group discussions and a General Assembly where representatives debate resolutions and vote on issues affecting engineering students across Atlantic Canada.
One of Canada’s largest student-run engineering competitions, bringing together more than 150 students from nine Atlantic universities. Teams compete in design, consulting, communications, programming, innovation, Re-ENGG, and debate, with winning teams advancing to the national competition.
Atlantic Canada’s major engineering leadership conference offers professional development, industry-led sessions, student panels, elections, and networking for more than 100 delegates. It is an opportunity to strengthen leadership skills and become involved with ACES.
National opportunities
A national conference focused on the people, cultures, and perspectives within engineering. Delegates develop practical knowledge about equity, diversity, inclusion, and creating engineering communities that value difference and belonging.
The largest annual CFES gathering brings together students, the CFES Board, national executives, and speakers from academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. Programming explores leadership, student engagement, advocacy, and engineering culture across Canada.
A three-day national conference that helps engineering students understand sustainability in their careers and daily lives. Students share ideas with peers and professionals while exploring the engineering profession’s role in building a more sustainable future.
Canada’s national competition for top engineering students. Regional champions compete in eight bilingual categories built around real industry challenges, receiving feedback and networking opportunities from judges in academia and industry.
Community partners
A national gathering for queer engineering students, STEM students, industry professionals, and advocacy groups. Delegates exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and leave with practical tools for building inclusive, connected, and sustainable campus communities.
A student-led UNB conference that develops engineers who lead with integrity, responsibility, and purpose. Workshops, keynote speakers, and discussions examine ethical decision-making through sustainability, equity, and social justice.
